If you are driving anywhere around King Island in Tasmania in the next few weeks you will not be able to miss the Your Rights at Work message.

A new billboard, sponsored by the NUW as part of the marginal seat campaign in Braddon, is being proudly displayed for all to see.

So, whether you are driving to the airport, the dairy or the abattoirs, the Your Rights at Work message is loud and clear.

And with just a month until the November 24 Federal Election things are heating up in the campaign to remove the Howard Government’s unfair and unjust workplace laws.

With legitimate fears that the Howard Government will go even further with its WorkChoices legislation if re-elected – see recent press releases on billionaire Gerry Harvey’s call for a two-tier wage system, and the National Farmers’ Federation’s call for changes to minimum conditions – this Federal Election really has become a referendum on workplace laws.

There is only one way to guarantee that these laws are abolished and that is to vote the Howard Government out on November 24.

And the Your Rights at Work campaign is always looking for volunteers to assist it.

If you are prepared to assist with letterboxing, home visits, handing out how-to-vote cards, or even happy to put a YRAW sticker on your wheelie bin or car, please contact NUW Assist 1300 275 689.

It is going to be a tough campaign to beat the Howard Government and abolish WorkChoices so every little of assistance bit will help in this crucial Election.
