Thousands of first-time voters have missed their chance to vote in the November 24 Federal Election after the new rolls closed last Wednesday night.
However, if you are already on the roll, there is still time to update your enrolment details to ensure you have your say in this crucial Election.
Under changes introduced by the Howard Government last year, you no longer have a week to enrol to vote after an election is called. For first-time voters it is just a couple of days.
It’s not hard to see why Howard and his team came up with this policy with opinion polls showing overwhelmingly that young Australians support a Rudd Labor Government.
While it's too late for first-time voters for those who need to change their address, you have a little longer, until 8pm TODAY (October 23).
