The NUW Marginal Seat Campaign Team celebrates a job well done in 2007

The NUW's highly successful Marginal Seat Campaign has concluded with the Federal Election just a few days away.
For much of this year, NUW members have been busy talking with fellow members about the Howard Government’s IR laws. In fact, around 30,000 phone conversations have taken place in the last seven months.
The opinions of working people in marginal seats across the country will decide what kind of workplace laws Australians will have into the future. This is why the union has been speaking with members in over 20 marginal seats in every state about what kind of workplace laws they want.
The marginal seat campaign has been part of the wider Your Rights at Work campaign, which now has just a few days to run before Saturday's poll.
The phone polling has been a massive success, with hundreds of members volunteering to help with the campaign after being contacted by the union.
Australians have one chance to ensure the Howard Government’s already-unfair IR laws aren’t taken further by Peter Costello.
It is time to finish the Your Rights at Work campaign with a new set of IR laws from a new Federal Government.
