Referendum on Union rule changes

The National Council of the Union decided at its meeting held on 1 – 2 October 2008 to conduct a postal referendum of all financial members (as at 30 June 2008) on a series of proposed rule changes.
The ballot will be conducted by the Australian Electoral Commission commencing on 17 October 2008 and concluding at 10.00am, 10 November 2008.

In the event that a majority of members vote in favour of the proposed amendments the Union will make an application for the alteration of the rules to the Industrial Registrar.
