The Suburban Frontline
Tuesday November 14, 2006
Workers in Brisbane are invited to share their experience of the Federal Government's Industrial Relations and Welfare-to-Work changes at a community forum with ACTU President Sharan Burrow.
'The Suburban Frontline' will look at the impact the Howard Government's laws are having on working families.
The Forum will be held at the Brook Hotel Conference Centre, Osborne Road, Mitchelton (next to Brookside Shopping Centre) from 1pm - 3pm on Saturday November 25. Lunch is available at the hotel.
Sharan will be joined by Wayne Sanderson from MS Australia and Josh Keech from the Young Workers Advisory Service. All three will be able to answer any questions you might have.
Community Forum's are an important way that members of the community can come together to discuss how they can change society for the better. They also help those people affected by the Government's changes not to feel isolated.
Union and non-union members alike are welcome to attend.
