Queensland NUW Officials have outdone themselves this year in their support for 'Relay for Life' raising over $3000 in a raffle alone

The NUW Queensland Branch is once again throwing its support behind 'Relay for Life'
‘Relay for life’ is an annual, overnight event to improve awareness of cancer in Queensland, as well as raise money to help find a cure.
In 2006 the Queensland Branch raised over $14,500 towards this fabulous cause. This year Officials and staff are on track to top that effort, a remarkable achievement.
This year's event will take place at the Pine Rivers Showgrounds commencing at 3pm on Saturday March 24, and will continue for 18 hours until 9am on Sunday March 25.
In addition to sponsorship from businesses, the NUW team and Pine Rivers residents also ran a successful raffle over the first two weekends of March, raising over $3,000.
Lisa Origliasso one half of singing sensations The Veronica’s and sister of Julian from the Queensland Branch even got involved in the campaign.
