Members enjoy 2005 SA Branch Family Day
Sunday January 23, 2005
The Branch’s Annual Family Day was held on Sunday, the 23rd of January, 2005, at the Fitzroy Community Club at Renown Park, where
hundreds of NUW members and their families enjoyed a great day.
As usual the Branch provided children’s
rides, soft drinks, ice-creams and other goodies, beer and wine, sausage
sizzle, face painting and other activities free of charge. The running races were again well supported
and enjoyed by everyone who took part.
The “Bill Plunkett Memorial Trophy” for the
cricket match was won by members from IGA who defeated members from San Remo.
It was great to see a lot of new faces this
year and we hope more members and their families will attend next years Family
Day.
The organising of the Family Day takes a
lot of work particularly on the day, so thank you very much to all those people
who helped out.
The Branch thanks the companies and organisations for their generous support of the Annual Family Day
