SA Picnic Day a huge success

Thursday February 09, 2006

Hundreds of NUW members in South Australia turned out for the 2006 Picnic Day, held on January 29.

Members and their families made the most of a warm and sunny summer’s day in Adelaide, with plenty of fun taking place at Renown Park.

The younger members of the NUW family enjoyed a jumping castle, camel rides, carnival rides, ice creams and face painting, as well as having a chance to hop inside a local fire truck.

There was also a free sausage sizzle and raffle, as well as the now famous annual Picnic Day cricket match.

A wonderful day was had by all, and plans are already in place to make next year’s Picnic Day bigger and better.

Some of the highlights of the day are below.
