YRAW gets behind the Million Paws Walk in Launceston
Wednesday May 16, 2007
Fancy getting your pampered pooch a little bit of exercise, raise money for a great cause and spread the Your Rights at Work message all at the same time?
Well, why not join the RSPCA’s Million Paws Walk in Launceston this Sunday (May 20, 2007).
The walk, which is held nationally, is to raise funds for the fantastic work of the RSPCA.
Launceston’s event begins at 9am and 11am, with Rights at Work activists meeting up before the second walk at 10.45am.
YRAW bandannas will be provided for any pets who are a “Workers Best Friend” at the walk.
The walk takes place at the Heritage Forest (Roundhouse Pavilion).
Registration on the day costs $10 per dog, $20 per pack (up to 3 dogs), $10 per student challenge or $100 per corporate challenge.
You can register on the day at the Heritage Forest.
This is a fantastic community event to not only support a brilliant charity, but also send yet another message to the Howard Government, that working families have had enough of this blatant attack on their basic rights at work.
