Godfrey Moase hits Triple J's 'Hack'
Friday April 20, 2007
NUW Victorian Market and Social Research Organiser Godfrey Moase took the IR debate to youth radio station Triple J on Thursday (April 19).
Appearing on Triple J's daily current affairs program Hack, Godfrey debated a member of the Young Liberals about the Howard Government's IR laws and the ALP's proposals for a new IR system, announced in part during the week by Federal ALP Leader Kevin Rudd.
Godfrey spoke about the lack of protection for working people under the Howard Government's IR laws and the critical need for a new IR system that respected the rights of working people.
The debate also saw many young people phone in to voice their support for unions.
Godfrey's appearance on Hack is just part of the wider Your Rights at Work campaign being run by the union movement in opposition to the Howard Government's radical IR laws.
