Victorian Picnic Day is coming soon
Monday August 20, 2007
Victorian members and their families are invited to one of the biggest and best days of the year - Picnic Day 2007.
Last year saw a record-breaking 10,000 members and their families attend. This year we hope just as many people will come and enjoy a fantastic day.
This year’s event will be held at Moonee Valley racecourse on Monday October 1, 2007. We will kick-off at 10am, with the fun and games wrapped up by 3pm. There is plenty of car parking space at the racecourse.
Highlights will undoubtedly include the running races for everyone from the tiniest tots, to the open men’s and women’s events.
As well as the usual array of rides, games, and show bags for kids, NUW Officials will keep everyone well fed with a giant sausage sizzle.
Even if you do not receive the Picnic Day holiday as part of your Collective Agreement – or you are unable to take the day off – your partner and children are more than welcome to attend the event.
If you are unsure if you are entitled to the Picnic Day holiday or not, please see your site Delegate or Organiser.
Picnic Day 2007 will be a fantastic opportunity for members and their families to get together in a relaxed and fun environment, and we would love to see another huge crowd at Moonee Valley this year.
