The Victorian Branch of the NUW is seeking a suitable applicant for the following position:
Victorian Branch Industrial Officer (part-time)
The National Union of Workers (Victorian Branch) is seeking the services of an Industrial Officer based in Melbourne to work two days a week.
The position will primarily involve drafting and reviewing agreements, but may also include tasks such as advocacy in the Australian Industrial Relations Commission, general industrial research and working with union members.
The successful applicant will have a strong commitment to the labour movement and a capacity to handle a heavy workload.
Tertiary qualifications in such areas as law, economics etc are desirable. The applicant must also have a current driver’s licence.
