NUW rally against Howard IR changes, June 30

Friday July 01, 2005

On June 30, 2005, over 120, 000 concerned community members - including hundreds of NUW members - filled the centre of Melbourne in opposition to the Howard Government's IR changes.

The rally was the latest stage in the campaign against the Federal Government's changes.

NUW members from across Victoria left their respective work sites to attend the rally.

Below are the highlights of a hugely successful rally. The NUW would like to pass on a huge thanks to all those members would travelled to Melbourne to attend the rally. It was the presence of regular working people that made the protest such a powerful event.
