Victorian Branch Picnic Day 2007
Tuesday October 02, 2007
Close to 7000 NUW members and their families filled Moonee Valley Racecourse in early October for the annual Victorian Branch Picnic Day.
Under blue skies, members and their families enjoyed a free barbeque lunch, while kids were given free showbags bursting with sweet stuff.
Between meals, children took to rides including the cup and saucer, dodgem cars, a giant ball pit, and a mega slide.
They also kept the face painters busy all day, who went to work on some happy young faces.
The afternoon running races were once again the highlight for the huge crowds. The races were full of close finishes, from the tiniest runners all the way up to the open divisions.
The annual Picnic was once again one of the Victorian Branch's biggest days of the year. We hope to see you all again next year for another fantastic day.
