Victorian Picnic Day 2005
Tuesday September 27, 2005
More than 5000 NUW members and their families flocked to Moonee Valley Racecourse yesterday (September 26) for the annual NUW picnic day.
Members started filing through the racecourse gates at around 10am, where they were greeted with show bags for their kids.
With Victorian school holidays in full swing, kids were able to take advantage of rides, face painting, balloons, ice-creams, and fairy floss. There was also a giant barbeque manned by an army of NUW Officials to keep the crowds well fed all afternoon.
But the high point of Picnic Day 2005 was, as always, the kids and adults running races.
