Victorian Delegate gets active in QLD to build a strong national Union
When Victorian NUW Delegate Vivien Keti was on holidays in Queensland she decided to spend a day shift and a night shift travelling around with NUW Organiser Paul McNicol.
Viv is a Delegate at Polarfresh in Truganina and on her final stop in QLD she visited their sister site at the Polarfresh Parkinson facility in Brisbane, where she helped Paul run an induction and signed up 41 new members! Viv also caught up with NUW members at Spar and Capilano. This sort of interaction between members and workplace reps across Australia is crucial to building our unity and our strength.
Organisers, Delegates, activists and members were thrilled that Viv dedicated her personal time to help build a strong national union - especially Paul, who said that she could come out on the road with him any time.
Congratulations to Viv, and if you want to get more active at your site and in your Union, speak to your Delegate or Organiser, follow our Jobs you can count on campaign, or check out more information about becoming active here.
