Filming of 'Dear Bob' for Inghams' members

Last week the NUW produced a short film which aimed to highlight the plight of workers affected by the fire at the Inghams processing plant in Somerville. The idea for the film, entitled Dear Bob, was generated by members in the hope that their personal pleas to rebuild the plant would help to sway Mr Ingham's decision. The film has since been sent to Mr Ingham.
Filmed in Frankston, Somerville, Cranbourne and Lang Lang, NUW officials set out to interview three employees from the Somerville plant, including a chicken farmer, and determine how their lives had been affected by the tragedy.
Members kindly volunteered their time last Friday and allowed NUW officials to interview them in their homes regarding the personal and financial troubles they have encountered since losing their jobs.
