Unions share the love in equal rights campaign

The NUW was among several unions to support equal rights for same-sex couples at Saturday's Equal Love rally in Melbourne. Key speakers included Labor candidate for Melbourne, Cath Bowtell. Around 6,000 participants marched through the city from the State Library to Parliament House. According to NUW activist Stacy Best, the rally was an outstanding success. Similar protests took place in cities around Australia.
The next Equal Love rally is planned for 27 November.
