Respect trade union rights at Vitasoy Hong Kong
Vitasoy, a Hong Kong-based transnational company with manufacturing operations in Hong Kong, Shenzen, Shangahi, Singapore, Ayer (Massachusetts, USA), and Wodonga (Victoria, Australia), promotes its premium soy-based food and beverage brands under the slogan "where healthy life begins" – yet healthy living doesn't seem to apply to respecting the rights of those who make the award-winning products. For eleven months Hong Kong management has refused to respond to repeated requests by the union to recognition and wage bargaining. The company is now stepping up its aggressive reaction after calls to respect basic workplace rights.
