Where courses are held:
Most courses are held between 9am - 5pm at the union’s main office in Docklands (833 Bourke St, Docklands) or at LUI Training Centre in Dandenong (205 Thomas St, Dandenong).
Courses are occasionally held in regional areas as the need arises.
Travelling to Docklands
It is advisable you travel by public transport as parking restrictions apply and you may receive a fine.
If you wish to come by train, Southern Cross railway station is a
short walk from the NUW. Trams also travel down Collins Street and
terminate in Merchant Street Docklands.
Health and Safety Rep Rights
Under the Victorian OHS Act 2004 OHS reps and deputies have the
right to attend any approved initial OHS course and a OHS refresher at
least once per year. We recommend that all our OHS reps attend the NUW
approved Initial OHS courses.
For more information about your rights click here for the WorkSafe Guidance Publication
This page will be updated with OHS training for South Australia, Tasmania and Western Australia shortly. Members will be notified via the website and newsletters, or from delegates and organisers, when there are OHS training schedules available.
