The NUW is looking for committed social justice advocates to become Organisers based in Perth Western Australia.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you believe in social justice, equality, respect and empowering people? Are you ready for a job with a difference?
- Help create a better working life.
- Organise workers in the Union and conduct campaigns to represent their interests at their workpalces
- Negotiate with employers on behalf of members.
- Handle and resolve grievances member have at their workplace.
The National Union of Workers is currently fighting to organise thousands of low-paid workers in logistics and warehousing, factories, call centres, food and plastics manufacturing and much more.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Essential:
We are looking for others who:
- want to fight to protect and advance the jobs, wages and conditions of workers
- want to lead the fight in organising workers
- have the commitment and passion to recruit new members to the NUW and fight for their issues
- have excellent communication and listening skills

LEAD ORGANISERS x 2 - QLD

The NUW is in the process of building a team of Organisers in Queensland. We are looking for two experienced Lead Organisers to be based in Brisbane to help lead that team.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Train, develop and lead a team of Organisers based out of our Brisbane Office.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Successful candidates will have either been a Lead Organiser, or have held a similar role at another Union.
