BBQ for Golden Circle Agreement a success
A series of BBQs held to kickstart the campaign for a new Agreement at Golden Circle Northgate production and distribution facility has resulted in new NUW members.

The NUW has held a series of BBQs at Golden Circle to kickstart the campaign for a new Agreement with Heinz for the Northgate production and distribution facility.
The workers spoke of their concern about dealing with the multinational company for the first time. Many were concerned about job security – some workers had worked basically full-time for over five and ten years but are still employed on a casual basis.
In addition, many Golden Circle workers joined the union for the first time as a result of the BBQs, and volunteered to play an active part in the campaign for a new Agreement.
