Celebrate the festive season with a pay rise

Market Research workers will see in the New Year with a pay rise of four per cent.

The increase is part of the Collective Agreement negotiated by the NUW last year.

From January 1 next year, casual Market Research workers will be entitled to an hourly wage of at least $20.24 in the New Year, up from $19.46.

Ongoing quarterly employees will be entitled to a wage rate of at least $18.21, while regular employees (full-time and part-time) wages will increase to $16.19.

Those Market Research workers employed as door-to-door interviewers will earn $22.10 from January 1.

The pay increase will take effect from the first pay period on or after New Year’s Day.

Market Research workers will receive another pay rise in January 2008 as part of the Collective Agreement.

Regular and substantial pay increases are just one of a host of benefits contained in the Collective Agreement covering the Industry.

The Agreement also contains provisions relating to working hours, breaks, overtime, and occupational health and safety, amongst others.

Union Collective Agreements are the most comprehensive form of employment and provide the best wages and conditions for employees.
